TFA reading: October 28

Sampurna Chattarji will read from her first novel Rupture (HarperCollins) and be in conversation with Arul Mani at Crossword on the 28th of October.

Chattarji is a Mumbai-based poet, fiction-writer and translator. Her publications include a translation of Sukumar Ray’s poetry and prose titled Abol Tabol: The Nonsense World of Sukumar Ray (Penguin, 2004), The Greatest Stories Ever Told (Penguin/Puffin, 2004), Mulla Nasruddin (Penguin/Puffin, 2008), Three Brothers and the Flower of Gold (Scholastic, 2008) and The Fried Frog and Other Funny Freaky Foodie Feisty Poems (Scholastic, 2009). Her debut poetry collection Sight May Strike You Blind was published by the Sahitya Akademi in 2007 and reprinted in 2008. She also has a second novel forthcoming from HarperCollins.

Arul Mani is a Reader at the Department of English, St Joseph’s College, Bangalore.
